Physical release interest test

hi everyone, joanne here!

im posting this to the page for both Part 1 and Part 2, so some of you may be seeing this twice.

but! i wanted to assess potential interest in a physical release of To The Moon and Back! it would contain an edited version of the story to cleanly stitch both parts together into one single part, i'd probably get art done for it, and you might be wondering: what would the media be?

high-density 3.5" floppy disk! a game written entirely in HTML fits very neatly on one of those!

now, i want to be fully transparent here: firstly, i know that probably not a lot of you even have a floppy drive, secondly, i havent even begun work on all the steps required to make this happen (tweaking the story, getting art done, gathering supplies, etc), and thirdly, they would NOT be on newly-manufactured floppy disks, because nobody manufactures floppy disks anymore, its not like cassette tapes or minidisks where musicians are keeping it afloat. as such, we'd be buying a lot of new-old stock diskettes off ebay or something, testing, formatting, and setting them up ourselves, and mailing them out to buyers. as such, theyd probably be a limited-run thing due to the amount of labor involved, and it would most likely be a pre-order thing. but! buyers would also get the ability to just download and play the tweaked version of the story, since i know this would probably just be a novelty buy and not something you would actually intend to play the game off of, since, again, i figure most of you dont have floppy drives. the price is still up in the air, it would be decided later depending on how much labor would actually be required to make this happen, but it probably wouldnt exceed ten bucks? just dont hold me to that haha

at the end of the day, much like TTMAB itself, this would just be a small fun project for me. relative to our other projects, the amount of plays on this has been absolutely enormous, but even then, it's still pretty small and niche.

so!

if you would be interested in a physical copy of To the Moon and Back, please like the post to tell me! i will be gauging the amount of interest in this project entirely off of the amount of likes or comments this gets!

and thank you again so so much for enjoying my story!
